Six total Forza Motorsport 4 DLC packs are scheduled for release, all together adding 60 new cars to the game’s already expansive lineup. Fans who already put down the money on a Forza 4 Season Pass can grab the November Speed Pack at will. Every one else will need to pony up 560 MS Points ($7).
The cars included in the November Speed Pack are every bit as gorgeous and fun to drive as the cars that shipped on disc, and practically every Forza player should find something to like. Still, there are a few issues that keep the November Speed Pack from being an automatic purchase for every Forza 4 owner.
For starters, buying the DLC does not actually unlock the cars in Forza Motorsport 4’s Career Mode – players will still have to earn enough in-game Credits (or buy enough Car Tokens from the game’s Marketplace using MS Points) to purchase each car. While 32,000 CR for the 2013 Ford Focus ST is unlikely to cause much trouble for even the most casual Forza fans, the 2,500,000 CR (3 Tokens) needed for the 2011 #2 Audi Sport Team Joest R15++ TDI may be all but unattainable for those same players.

Of course, players who want nothing more than to jump in one of the Speed Pack’s exotic sports car and take to Infineon Raceway are free to do so in Forza’s Free Play mode, no in-game purchase necessary. The same, unfortunately, is not true of the game’s Autovista mode. None of the cars from the Speed Pack pop up in Autovista, which is a shame given the staggering level of detail each of them exhibits.
Take a look at the full list of cars included in the Forza Motorsport 4 November Speed Pack below. The descriptions of each car come straight from Turn 10 Studios, to which we’ve helpfully added the in-game purchase price.
At less than a dollar per car (even cheaper for those with Season Passes), there is no question that the November Speed Pack represents a solid return on investment, even for those players who may never unlock some of the pricier rides for use in Career Mode. That said, it is unquestionably the Forza 4 die-hards who are going to get the most enjoyment from the Pack, as they chip away at the vast in-game cost and learn the intricacies of each car.
Just prior to the November 1st release of the Speed Pack, another selection of Forza 4 cars became available. The American Muscle Car Pack originally appeared as a bonus for players who went all-in on a Season Pass, but is now available for purchase on Xbox Live. The pack will set players back 560 MS Points ($7), and includes some shining examples of America’s automotive heyday.
